Expert Remodeling Advice
Vertical Construction Group owner Stephen Creer:
Back in Park City, Utah, one of my first jobs was as a carpenter building timber lodge style homes. In those days, skiing was my main passion, so working hard to play hard was a way of life. While constructing from drawings and concepts, I learned that I have a natural ability to visualize the way things go together, and the reward of seeing something constructed with my own hands became a source of satisfaction for me. During that time, I helped construct around 50 new custom homes and multiple additions, as well as a number of remodels.
In my twenties, I joined the Navy and spent several years abroad, mainly in Europe, as an aviation crash and salvage rescue man for NATO forces. I spent much of that time traveling and exploring other cultures. After receiving an honorable discharge from the service, I returned to my roots in construction and joined a large corporation as the construction superintendent. After several years of working with that large company, I realized that my true talent and passion was for creating custom and distinct spaces and finding creative solutions to construction challenges.
I created Vertical Construction Group in 2009 when I moved to the Pacific Northwest to attend UW’s Construction Management Program, with the goal of building a general contracting company that produces high-quality and enduring workmanship for large and small residential construction projects. Whether the project is a simple home remodel or a distinctive custom home, every client will receive my effective communication, my commitment toward timeliness and efficiency, and a resulting product that showcases their unique style.
Today, Vertical Construction Group and its team of hand-selected professional subcontractors are equipped to manage most residential construction projects, from aesthetic remodels to structural adjustments, full additions, or new builds. To find out how we can help you, contact us today!
